the stylish wine opener
Warranty Info

The Penguin Corkscrew has a 10 (TEN) year Warranty covering any 'manufacturer defects' and will be replaced at any time. Please contact sales@winethings.com and describe the malfunction or breakage that occurred. We will contact you within 3 days and assist in replacing the unit or helping you solve the malfunction error.

This type of 'manufacturer defects' does NOT cover the following potential areas of operation:

1. Handle 'jams' and will not move:
Please see 'trouble shooting' on this website. The Penguin Corkscrew is designed to 'freeze' the safety spring inside of the tube to prevent breakage in the event that the corkscrew is used improperly. Improper use is generally attempting to use the lever in the 'down' position, pulling up while trying to insert the corkscrew into the cork. The unit will 'freeze' and become 'jammed' to prevent breakage.

2. Lever breaks:
This is usually due to improper use by 'forcing' a jammed lever handle in an attempt to 'fix it'. Again, please see 'trouble shooting' guide. Simply placing the 'jammed' corkscrew unit on top of an UNOPENED bottle will release the safety spring and allow the lever to move smoothly again.

3. Corkscrew 'worm' breaks:
This is very unlikely but is easily replaced with a new corkscrew worm. See 'replacing corkscrew' instructions on our website. The Penguin corkscrew is normally offered with one extra replacement corkscrew in addition to the one that is already pre installed in the unit. It will open up to 1,000 bottles with normal usuage on natural corks. Synthetic corks work great too, but will cause the worm to loose it's sharpness sooner. Additional corkscrew replacement worms are available to purchase on this site.
